Duo with Mirjam Schröder (Harp)
Mirjam Schröder, Harfe. Harp. Born in 1978 in Karlsruhe, Mirjam Schröder started to study the piano before taking up the harp at the age of eleven. She began her studies in 1996 at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels. Since 1998 she has been enrolled at the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold, where she studied with Catherine Michel and Godelieve Schrama. She has been distinguished at several international competitions. In 1999 she won a 1st Prize at the International Harp Competition held by the Reinl-Stiftung in Munich, and in 2002 she won a 1st Prize at the International Harp Competition „Arpista Ludovico“ in Madrid. She has occasionally played in the Rundfunksymphonieorchester of the SWR Stuttgart as well as in the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie in Herford. Since September 2003 she has held an internship at the Landestheater Detmold. At the 53rd ARD International Music Competition in 2004 she was awarded the 3rd Prize as well as the Audience Prize sponsored by the Theodor-Rogler-Stiftung.
